Chic of the Week

So here is HRH Catherine Duchess of Cambridge getting into the Olympic spirit with a little soccer {er.. football} and some ping-pong. Princess or not, I'm seriously impressed with a lady who plays soccer in wedges and looks that chic playing ping-pong.

Oh also - her dress? It's from Hobbs and is on sale for £35. Way to be Kate, that's amazing.

Some Exciting News {and minty walls!}

OK kids - I have some big exciting news! I'm moving!
For the last 4 years I've lived with my sister and her boyfriend/fiance/husband {all the same guy, ps ;)} in an apartment in northern Manhattan. But in 2 months I'm moving Downtown {well, technically to Midtown... but anything is downtown when compared to 181st st...} 
This means several exciting things:

1. I'll be abel to WALK to work!
2. I'll have a back yard {hello garden parties!}
3. I'll get to decorate! {= tons of inspo in Pinterest & a few more decor posts that usual!}
Ready to dive in? Let's start with my new love of mint colored walls. They're pretty and fun - but soothing at the same time. And they look glam when paired with gold, white, and pink...

Color Crush

I've been crushing on bright blue for a while now. And then the lovely Duchess Catherine wore a stunning electric blue Stella McCartney dress and it really sent me over the edge into true love... or... obsession I suppose.

Blazers, Bangles, Bags! Oh My!

Anyone who knows me at all knows that I have several fashion obsessions. I adore blazers {as seen here, here, here...oh and here!} I LOVE bangles, and - like any other fashion girl - I DIE over bags.
SO - when I stumbled across 2 Penny Blue it was love at first sight.  {Turns out the line was co-created by Erin Gates of Elements of Style, who I've loved since my early days of blogging! This is true love guys. True love.}

Playing Catch Up

Words To Live By: Summer

For the first time in 4 years I get to spend the 4th of July at my family's lake house in Northern Michigan and I could not be more thrilled. Because, as much as the fashionista in me loves her high heels and pencil skirts nothing beats spending a week in shots, bikini tops and flip-flops....  

It's summer time y'all!!
