Color Crush: Neon Orange

I'm totally having a neon moment. (I know, I know, me and the rest of the world... whatever...) But of all the neons, orange might be my favorite. It's just so happy and fresh - the perfect summer color.

Lust List: Dreamy Dresses

I love wearing dresses in the Summer time - they just make life so much easier: throw one on and you are good to go. Dress it down for brunch or up for a night out. Here are a few of the frocks I wish I had in my closet this season...

Resort Report: California Cool

Jenni Kayne is quickly becoming my favorite designer. There's something about the way she can mix classically chic silhouettes (a tweed pencil skirt, a tailored blazer...) with non-traditional, laid-back pieces (a bra top, a neon shift) that is just perfection to me.
Her 2013 Resort Collection was no exception.
I'm in love.
I want it all.

Chic of the Week: Emma Stone

I don't think I spend enough time talking about Emma Stone here. But I LOVE her. Such a stylish lady. Currently she is on a press tour for The Amazing Spiderman, and she keeps knocking it out of the park.  I couldn't pick just one of her looks to feature - so I'm giving you five.
Hope you can deal with that..

Resort Report: Red Carpet Wish List

I've been spending a lot of time lately on Pinterest - filling my boards with images from the 2013 Resort collections... I've come across a few collections filled with gowns that are begging to be wore to a red carpet event. Here are a few of my favorites:

Monique Lhuillier: The colors in this collection are to die for. Bright oranges and tangerines mixed with hot pinks and creamy whites. And, of course, the gorgeous girlyness one has grown to expect from the designer. But without all the glitter we've seen the past few seasons, which is rather refreshing!

J. Mendel: A much more demure collection than Monique Lhuillier, Mendel's gowns are more about silhouette than color. The gowns create dramatic shapes, and would look stunning on the red carpet. He also uses a lot of floral and lace - as if taking the feminine aspects we saw in Lhuillier's collection and maturing them.

Carolina Herrera: A classic collection that tells its story with structure. From the barely-there peplum of the ball gown, to the abstract shoulders of the chartreuse number. I adore everything about this line!

Real Life Style #18

The other day I had this brilliant idea that I should do an outfit post featuring my dogs. Seems like a fun plan, right? Turns out the puppies are not the best models, they thought I was treating them to an awesome play-date. But it was still a lovely day on the river. The perfect occasion for a chambray shirt and some sun stripes...

Interview Chic

As you may or may not know, I am currently seeking a new job - not for any big dramatic reasons, it was just time for a change. That said, I have had several opportunities to dress myself up for interviews (always fun, if not a little stressful...) for the most recent, I took some style inspiration from one of my favorite ladies - Miss Kate Middleton. Here's how it turned out:

I love the look. Simple, chic and stylish. What do you think?

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

Yesterday I spent the day sitting in the sun, sipping champagne and feeling quite fancy at the Polo Classic. The weather was perfect and I only got a tiny bit sun burned... here are a few of my favorite moments - fashion & otherwise...
Happy Sunday!
