I think the most important question we have to ask ourselves about this collection is - did they know the model would be in front of a mirror so they made sure her hair was awesome? OR did they see her awesome hair and stick a mirror behind her?

These are the things that keep me up at night...

Staycation Style

I'm lucky enough to have this week off from work - and with no where to go I am enjoying my very own New York City staycation!
The first day was pretty good, {I forgot to take a nap... but other than that...} I've been sitting around playing with my sister's new puppy {YES PUPPY!} and day-dreaming about casual, chic winter staycation attire... doesn't get much better than that.

I might as well stop trying to fight it - if it's blue and glittery, I'm in love. This became clear while assembling this collection of pre-fall looks... Yes, yes - all my favorites = navy. 

But you have to admit, these are all pretty killer looks. "Pre-Fall" is going to be a good season to love navy...

New Uniform

I think I could live in the Honor pre-fall collection. Seriously. Perfects looks for the office, night out with the girls, dates, parties - anything/anywhere....And I'm really starting to love the bright pink/bright red looks {but probably avoid throwing an lace into that mix, don't want to end up looking like a valentine}.

Pretty Pretty Posen

Pre-Fall is an elegant, elegant place in the land of Zac Posen. Cascading silk, structured tweeds and fanciful embroidery fill the collection, and the purples, grays and blues play so nicely with the little peeks of red...  

I'm a little on the fence about those square shoulders, one would not be able to wear a sweater in that number, would one?

Chic of the Week #3

This week I am choosing to bestow my blog's highest honor - the Chic of the Week post - upon the always glamorous and fashionable Mrs. Obama. Our fist lady look stunning at the Kennedy Center Honors reception in a custom Vera Wang gown.

I am aware that all 3 of my honorees for Chic of the Week have been dressed in bright shades of blue - BLUE IS JUST HAVING A MOMENT. That's it people. Deal.

What are your thoughts? Totally deserving, or am I just biased towards blue.... ;) ?

Pretty Pants and Furry Ams

So let's take a second to talk about why I love Pre-Fall. After the Spring collections tease us with their flirty, springy-ness - winter hits, the sun disappears and those Spring dresses just seem like a cruel, cruel joke.

But then, in marches Pre-Fall to save the day with knits, wools and furry arms. Mmmmm, the seasonally appropriate goodness.   

AND can we PLEASE talk about Jason Wu's leather collars? Because O-M-G awesome. {Also, Carolina Herrera is making wish I wore glasses... once again.}

Real Life Style - #1

In all my years of style blogging {first on bug&Bear, Coco + Kelley - now here!} I've created post after post about things I would love to wear, but never once EVER posted what I'm actually wearing. Lucky for me, I live with a photographer. PROBLEM SOLVED.
And so - drum roll please - here is my very first Real Life Style post!

I have to say - I think this is the cutest outfit I've ever worn. And those of you who see me on a daily basis, you'll probably see it a lot {at least once a month... maybe more...} Those are ponies on the blouse FYI - PINK ponies. Love.

Pre-Fall Preview

Just quick break from our regularly scheduled programing - because Pre-Fall collections are here! 

Mullet dresses seem to be a thing still {some days I love them, some days I hate them.} But pleats and lace are still in the mix too {yay!} And I'm pretty into this teal-pink-black color combo that's happening here...

Glam-o-Rama

HELLO HOLIDAYS! Are you ready? I sure am {maybe not for gift-giving, still have a long list to get to...} but for the parties? Always, always ready.

Red has never really been my color - but ever since my switch from dirty-blond to dark brunette, it has become more appealing. SO here's my holiday party look... 1 part Pippa 1 part glitter and a lot of Holiday chic!
